BHADERWAH, Sept 26: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) DKR Range Rafiq-Ul-Hassam held crime review meeting of Bhaderwah and Gandoh Sub-Divisions here today.
SSP Doda Shabir Ahmed, Additional SP Bhaderwah Rajinder Kumar, CPO DKR Range Ishtiyaq Ahmed Bhatti, SO to DIG Showket Ali, CPO Bhaderwah Tehmore Jhangir, SDPO Bhaderwah Adil Hussain Rishu, SDPO Gandoh Krishan Singh, all SHOs of Sub Division Bhaderwah and Gandoh were present in the meeting.
At the outset of meeting DIG examined the performance of Bhaderwah, Thathri and Gandoh Police Stations. The main focus of the meeting was to improve the quality of investigation. Disposal of missing persons and inquest proceedings cases, arrest of absconders and action under preventive measures were also reviewed. The issues of public complaints pending with Sub-Division levels were also discussed.
DIG discussed all the cases one by one and advised SHOs for finalization of the pending cases and public complaints to give the relief to the general public. DIG personally checked the case files of heinous offences and directed investigating officers for speedy disposal of cases assigned to them for conducting the investigation. The investigating staff was also directed to conduct the investigation of cases with zeal, dedication and with transparency at an earliest possible time in the public interest and bring the pendency to the minimum.
Later, DIG held a meeting with members of all communities, political and social groups and prominent citizens of Bhaderwah.
The issues raised by the people were drug menace, overloading, traffic accidents, updating public of good work done by police, act tough against persons trying to violate the communal atmosphere of the area traffic rule violation, dilapidated condition of roads, night patrolling in the area, etc.
DIG addressed the participants and assured that their genuine demands will be taken up with the concerned departments for redressel and those pertaining to Police Department will be considered at the earliest.
