RAMBAN, Apr 28: DIG DKR Range Dr Sunil Gupta visited District Ramban and held a crime as well as security review meeting at District Headquarters.
During the meeting, several issues came up for discussion like crime, law and order situation of the District in view of forthcoming religious events viz Jumat-ul-Vida, Eid-ul-Fitr and Parshuram Jayanti.
The meeting was attended by Mohita Sharma, SP Ramban and all GOs and SHOs of District Ramban. A ceremonial guard of honour was presented to the DIG DKR Range at DPO Ramban.
A detailed discussion on crime was held which included under-investigation cases and special emphasis was laid on backlog cases along with inquest proceedings, arrest of absconders, tracing out of missing persons, history sheeters and other allied things were discussed with the officers.
The DIG, DKR Range stressed upon the officers to ensure quality of investigation and timely completion of under investigation cases and necessary directions were issued to the officers to put in place a target based mechanism to ensure timely disposal to minimize the pendency of backlog crime.
The officers were also urged upon to take all preventive and pre-empt measures with special focus on the initiatives under Operation Pathshala, Operation Sanjeevni, Operation Third Eye, Operation Bachav and Operation Kamdhenu. Various guidelines and instructions were issued to the officers to organize awareness programmes in their respective areas on drug abuse, de-radicalisation, Social Media, Traffic Rules and other allied things of policing.
Necessary instructions were also issued to the officers to chalk out an effective plan like route march, effective patrolling, area domination in close coordination with Army/CAPF in their respective jurisdictions to keep law and order under control.
