JAMMU, Oct 18: Sarah Rizvi DIG IRP Range Jammu visited IRP 16th battalion headquarters today to have interaction with officers/officials, apart from, organizing inaugural function of Bakery Shop and ATM installed at the Unit.
The DIG was received by Pawan Parihar-SSP Commandant IRP 16th Bn, Rayaz Iqbal Tantray, SP Dy. Commandant, Rakesh Kumar Parihar, SP Supervisory Officer Banihal Segment and other Gazetted Officers of this unit.
A warm welcome was given to the DIG by the officers/officials of this unit by presenting a guard of honour at Unit Quarter Guard. She inaugurated Bakery Shop and ATM installed at main gate of this Unit. Thereafter, she conducted inspection of Jawans residential barracks, dry canteen, recreation hall, Gym center, Ration store and MT fleet of the unit.
In addition, the DIG also inspected Bakery Shop, wet canteen and main office of this unit. In the main office, the DIG was presented a power point presentation displaying map of whole campus, all the works executed, and deployments of manpower of the unit. Rizvi conducted Darbar of police personnel comprising of about 200 policemen including GOs of the unit. The DIG interacted with the jawans/ officers present in the Darbar. All the participants present in the Darbar were directed to put forth their grievance/problems if any faced by them at the unit level or at personal.
During the Darbar, some Officers/ Officials put forth their grievances to which a patient hearing was given by the DIG who assured that their genuine grievances will be redressed on priority basis.
At last, the DIG was honored to handover the appointment order to the widow of late Constable Sarfraz Ahmad who laid his life for the sake of Nation while fighting with militants in District Srinagar on 15th of August 2022.
