DIG IRP Range Jammu visits 19th Battalion Hqrs, addresses Darbar

KATHUA, Oct 5: Sarah Rizvi, Deputy Inspector General of Police IRP Range Jammu, visited IRP-19th Battalion Headquarters Kathua, here today.
The DIG, who was presented guard of honour and thereafter a Darbar was also held in which grievances of officers and Jawans were redressed on the spot. The DIG assured that welfare matters of the Jawans will be kept on priority.
Dr Koshal Kumar Sharma, Commandant IRP-19th Battalion, presented formal welcome address and highlighted the role of unit. He also briefed about the present deployment and requirements at the unit level. Besides this, other activities carried out by the unit were highlighted.
Later, the DIG also witnessed Volleyball & Tug of War matches played between players of the unit. Winning team was awarded with cash reward and commendation certificates.
SSP Roop Raj- Principal PTS Kathua; Shivdeep Singh Jamwal, SSP Kathua; Paramjit Singh, Addl. SP Kathua; Koshal Kumar SP Jail Kathua, Karanvir Singh-SP Dy CO, Rajinder Singh Rahi-SP Dy CO, Ashok Kumar-Dy SP, Inspr. Abhisheak Sharma, Inspr Varinder Singh, Inspr Gulzar Ahmad among other officers & officials were present on the occasion.
