JAMMU, Aug 21: The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma, today held a crucial meeting with Director General (DG) of BSF, Daljit Singh Choudhary.
A statement said the meeting was also attended by IG BSF Frontier Jammu, DK Boora, SSP Kathua, Deepika, and other BSF officers.
It said that during the interaction, key issues regarding coordination between the BSF and the Jammu and Kashmir Police were discussed, particularly in the context of border management across the districts of Jammu, Samba and Kathua.
The discussions were held with a focus on upcoming Assembly Elections in Jammu and Kashmir, given the current security scenario, said the statement.
The DG BSF assured full support and assistance to the police in the JSK Range and emphasized the importance of maintaining effective coordination between the BSF and the police for robust border management in the region, it added.
