JAMMU, June 30: Dr Sunil Gupta, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) Range, today conducted a comprehensive inspection of Police Station Gandhi Nagar in Jammu.
During the inspection, he reviewed various facilities and records, including the MHC Room, Malkhana, and Hawalat, as well as registers for Mahila Desk, Cyber, NCR, Tyohar, NDPS, and land disputes.
AS per a statement, most records were found to be well-maintained and he instructed the staff to update any pending documentation. The cleanliness of the premises and surrounding area was also noted.
Dr Gupta emphasized the importance of vigilance within the area of responsibility to SDPO Gandhi Nagar and the SHO.
He directed the SHO to ensure timely redressal of public grievances, with special focus on female complainants, who should be assisted by women staff members.
He also stressed the need for special attention to NDPS cases, road accidents, and land disputes.
Officers were instructed to identify and document backward and forward linkages in all ongoing NDPS investigations.
Lists of drug addicts, peddlers, smugglers, and kingpins were also directed to be prepared, with their properties identified and seized under the law, including the demolition of immovable assets.
Additionally, Dr Gupta directed the proper arrangement of vehicles seized under Operation Avtar.
He provided necessary instructions to the SHO and officers to strengthen the beat system of the police station, ensuring enhanced security and public service.
