JAMMU, July 3: DIG Jammu-Samba- Kathua (JSK) Range, Dr Sunil Gupta today paid a surprise visit to Police Station Trikuta Nagar and conducted casual inspection of the Police Station.
He inspected the MHC Room, Malkhana and Hawalat. He also checked Mahila Desk Register, Cyber Register, NCR Register, Tyohar Register, NDPS Register, Land dispute Register etc. and found most of the record well maintained. He instructed the staff of Police Station for maintaining pending record.
During the inspection, he instructed the SDPO East (Jammu)/SHO Police Station to maintain extra vigil in their area of responsibility. He directed the SHO for redressal of public grievances in a time bound manner and special focus be given towards female complainants and NDPS/Road Accident/Land dispute cases etc.
He also directed all officers to ascertain the backward/forward linkages in all under investigation NDPS cases and prepare the lists of drug addicts, peddlers, smugglers and kingpins. He also instructed that the properties of drug peddlers, smugglers and kingpins be identified and seized under law besides, demolition of immovable properties.
The DIG also imparted necessary directions to SHO/officers/officials of Police Station Trikuta Nagar for strengthening of Beat system of the Police Station.
Later, the DIG along with SSP Jammu Dr Vinod Kumar also paid surprised visit to Vaishnavi Dham, Railway Station Jammu and conducted security review in view of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. During the review, the DIG JSK Range inspected the guards deployed in and around the Vaishnavi Dham, enroute checking, CCTV cameras installed, parking area etc.
SP South Jammu, SDPO East Jammu and SHO Trikuta Nagar were also present on the venue.
