KISHTWAR, Apr 17: Deputy Inspector General of Police Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range, Dr. Sunil Gupta today visited Kishtwar and held a security review meeting with officers of Army, CRPF, CISF, CID and IB at District Police Lines, Kishtwar.
SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal briefed the DIG regarding security scenario and law and order in Kishtwar through power point presentation.
He also apprised the DIG about the security apparatus to be put in place for the upcoming Eid festival.
Thereafter the DIG held a detailed crime review meeting with SDPOs, SHOs and IOs to examine the performance of Police Stations. The main focus of the meeting was to improve the quality of investigation and disposal accordingly.
The DIG also distributed meritorious certificates among the officers of Police and civil department for their best performances.
DIG Dr. Sunil Gupta stressed upon the cops to remain extra vigilant in wake of forthcoming important events and festivals.
He stressed upon to the officers to take all required steps to curb the menace of terrorism as well as drug trafficking and smuggling.
The meeting was attended by Addl SP Kishtwar, Rajinder Singh; Dy. SP Hqrs, Ashish Gupta; SDPO Marwah, Devindar Sing; DSP DAR, Sajjad Khan, officers of Army, CRPF, CISF, IB and District Kishtwar.
