DIG for use of preventive measures to curb increasing crime

DODA, May 4: DIG Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban (DKR) Range Nisar Ahmed conducted casual inspection of police station Doda, in which old and fresh cases were discussed.
He was accompanied by Zahid Naseem Manhas, SSP Doda and other police officers.
DIG stressed upon SHO and IOs to ensure speedy disposal of the under investigation cases and inquest proceedings in a professional manner and also arrest of absconders and trace out the missing persons.
He emphasized upon SHO and MHCs to ensure speedy disposal of verifications, which have became under the purview of Public Service Guarantee Act, early disposal of court processes and computerization of police station record besides maximum use of preventive measures to curb the increasing crime.
DIG also interacted with the jawans posted at Police Station Doda, wherein the jawans put forth their demands and issues related to their welfare.
DIG assured them that their genuine demands will be redressed on priority.
DIG also stressed upon the officers and jawans to serve the people in a better way and give best service and crime free atmosphere to people.
He further advised the officials associated with Sarishta to deal politely with the general public during their visit to Police Station, as they are the first, who can interact with them during the visit.
The officers and officials were briefed to maintain discipline and work with zeal and zest to ensure friendly relations with the people.
