JAMMU, Sept 13: A digital planetarium show was organised for students at Army Public School Miran Sahib from September 6 to 11..
A total number of 2438 children from various schools of the vicinity including Army Public School, Jammu Cantonment, Bari Brahamna, Sunjwan, TAPPS Miran Sahib and Jammu Sanskriti School registered for the show.
This show, as the name suggests, ‘Stars on the Ground’ was an innovative new way of immersive learning which involved putting learners in an interactive learning environment to teach skills using situations and experiences that are as true to life as possible.
One highlight of the show was ‘Night Gazing’ where the students got the wonderful opportunity to observe celestial bodies through a telescope. The show was found to be educational in terms of space and was well appreciated by the children and their parents as they were able to witness the space without being there by enjoying it as a real time experience.
It’s a well known fact that the craze of children towards learning through digital education cannot be kept aside nowadays. By this mode of education, the children are able to understand things more clearly rather than following the traditional ways of learning books, said an organiser of the event.
