Digitization only way to end corruption: Ganga

JAMMU, Sept, 17: Terming digitization of Government machinery at all levels as only medium to end corruption, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga today extolled that introduction of online services in several departments in the State is getting tremendous results with a notable decline in the corruption graph.
“Transparency and accountability has been the hallmark of present dispensation and working on digitization of all departments is a step forward towards achieving this goal”, the Minister maintained.
He was speaking at a function organized to distribute financial assistance among the beneficiaries of PMAY Block Ramgarh, Samba. Nearly, 16 beneficiaries were given an amount of Rs 50000 as a first installment under the scheme.
The Minister exhorted upon the BDO and the beneficiaries to ensure judicious utilization of these funds only for construction of their houses as any deviation in this regard will amount to non release of next installments.
The Minister, while lauding the vision of Prime Minister Narender Modi of weeding out corruption from the roots, said that his pragmatic and unique approach towards basic issues have succeeded in effective implementation of several innovative programmes launched during the past three years. He said that the Government has ensured that the benefits of the welfare programmes reach the target groups in an effective DBT mode which has zeroed in chances of pilferages and corruption at any level. “Effective and time bound implementation of schemes optimally benefitted the people at grass root level”, he asserted.
The Minister sought complete cooperation and contribution from all stakeholders for success of Modi’s Digital India initiative which envisages e-governance and transform India into a digitally empowered society.
