REASI, Oct 3: Dilapidated condition of Reasi-Katra-Domail road has irked the commuters.
While showing concern over the deplorable condition of main road at several places, commuters visiting Reasi, Pouni and other adjoining areas who used this road have appealed to the authorities to initiate macadamization and repair of potholes on the road.
The road is in worst condition at several places including Aghar Jitto, Balini, Domail and Anji Bridge and has turned accidental prone, they said and added that the Government has failed to take any initiative for the maintenance of this road.
The lives of vehicles are deteriorating due to potholes on this road and its worst condition and despite that the authorities seem to be in deep slumber, they added.
They alleged that the concerned department did not do its job honestly due to which the condition of the road is deteriorating day by day.
Thousands of vehicles both commercial and private pass through this road on daily basis.
Commuters urged the concerned authorities to expedite the repair work immediately on the road so that the people of this vast region and Vaishno Devi pilgrims do not suffer anymore.
