Dilapidated condition of road irks villagers

DODA, May 25: Dilapidated condition of road between Puneja to Sewa in Chiralla area has irked the villagers.
The residents have appealed to the concerned department to complete the construction work of the road to avoid protests.
The villagers alleged that the officials of concerned department are not directing the contractors to expedite the construction work on road between Puneja to Sewa.
Ashok Kumar, a local resident said that the road from Puneja to Sewa is under construction from the past several months and has not been completed till date.
Due to bad dilapidated condition of road and lack of proper drainage system, the commuters are facing problems, the resident said, adding that this problem increases manifolds during rainfall as the road becomes accident prone.
The residents accused the authorities for not maintaining the road and showing negligence over this issue.
They appealed to the District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma to intervene into the issue and direct the concerned department to complete the construction work on the road in the shortest possible time.
