Apni Party election meeting at Jagti

JAMMU, Sept 22: Continuing election campaign, the Migrant Cell of the Apni Party organized a meeting with the migrant Kashmiri Pandits in the Jagti township to hold deliberations about the living condition and demands of the migrants living in the camps in Jammu.
Mohammed Dilawar Mir, chairman of the Apni Party’s Parliamentary Affairs Committee, general secretary of the party, Vijay Bakaya and other leaders addressed the migrants living in the Jagti camp, while seeking their vote and support for the party candidate, Yawar Mir, who is contesting candidate of the party from Rafiabad Assembly constituency.
The party leaders also sought support of the migrant community in other Assembly constituencies in Kashmir valley.
In his address, Mohammed Dilawar Mir said that the party is committed to work for the return and rehabilitation of the migrant Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley.
“We stand with the aspiration of the migrant Kashmiri Pandits, who have suffered, following their displacement and want to return back to their roots. We want them to reunite with the Kashmiri culture,” he stated, while making a plea to vote and support Yawar Mir, contesting from Rafiabad Assembly constituency.
General secretary of the party, Vijay Bakaya while addressing the gathering assured that the party will fight for the enhancement of the relief for the displaced families.
“We also want to improve the living standard of the displaced community in camps by providing them basic amenities, 24×7 electricity, clean drinking water, and well equipped play ground for the children,” he said.
He informed the migrants that the Party will constitute an Apex Committee to address the problems of the displaced Kashmiri Pandits.
He stressed upon to create awareness among the community members about the welfare schemes.
“These schemes will be launched by the party if it forms the Government in J&K. The displaced community shall be educated about the benefits to overcome the sufferings they have faced all these years, while living in the camps,” he added.
