JAMMU, Sept 16: Additi-onal Director General of Police (ADGP) Security, Dilbag Singh launched an awareness campaign on suicide prevention, devised by ‘The SARA’- an NGO working on suicide prevention, crisis support and providing mental health support.
Pamphlet, newsletter and on-line awareness campaign in Urdu with theme `Khudkushi Ka Irada Karne Wale Shakhs Ke Ahlamat Key Mutalak Janey’, shall help people to learn about suicide warning signs in an individual, which in turn would help in reducing suicides and suicidal behaviours in the society.
The SARA with its commitment towards cause and society time to time carries out campaign with the themes related to mental health.
Earlier in the year 2014, The Sara has carried out an awareness campaign with the theme `Learn Suicide Warning Signs’.
ADGP Dilbag Singh appreciated The Sara for the humane effort and wished members of the NGO best success for their campaign.
