MUMBAI, July 26: Late Bollywood icon Dilip Kumar’s lavish sea-facing bungalow at Pali Hill, Mumbai, has been sold for a whopping Rs 175 crore! .
The sea-facing triplex apartment has been purchased by a company named Apco Infratech Private Limited, according to the property registration documents provided by Zapkey.com.
The triplex apartment occupies the 9th, 10th, and 11th floors of the building, offering a spacious carpet area of 9,527 square feet. It was purchased at an impressive rate of Rs 1.62 lakh per square foot.
Dilip Kumar passed away at the age of 98 on July 7, 2021, after a prolonged illness. In 1953, he bought the Bandra West property from Mohammad Latif for Rs 1.4 lakh and resided there for fifty years. This bungalow, steeped in history, was involved in legal disputes for several years.
Kumar’s family accused a real estate firm of forging documents to seize the property. After a lengthy court battle, Saira Banu, Dilip Kumar’s wife, regained possession of the keys in 2017. Now, all legal issues have been resolved, and the property is free of disputes. )UNI)
