JAMMU, Sept 21: Sunil Dimple president Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) along with the SE ERA Jai Gopal Mengi today visited the localities of New Plot, Prem Nagar, Janipur, Sarwal, Rehari, Tali Morh and other localities where the sewerage work of ERA is going on at present.
The SE was accompanied by Executive Engineer, ERA, Dr Sanjeev Chadda, AEE, ERA Sanjeev Puri and other engineers of the Department. Mr Dimple apprised them of the problems being faced by commuters, shopkeepers and people living in these localities due to delay in completion of work as the entire road has been dug which has led to traffic hazards.
Mr Dimple demanded that the work on New Plots road be completed on war footing as the Minister of PWD had given assurance to him that the black topping of the road will be started by September 25.
He urged the officers to issue instructions to the contractors to work in double shifts for its speedy completion of the work so that the people are relieved of the problems.
