Dimple for early black-topping of Jammu West roads

JAMMU, May 16: The residents including traders of the Jammu West constituency held protest demonstration against worst condition of Sarwal, New Plot, Rehari, Rajpura Mangotrian, Bakshi Nagar and Talab Tillo roads which are in dilapidated conditions and warrant immediate repairs.
The protest was led by Sunil Dimple, president, Jammu West Assembly Movement against the concerned authorities for their failure to provide basic amenities of life to the people. The residents raised slogans against the BJP president and demanded resignation from him.
Addressing the protestors Sunil Dimple alleged that there was no coordination among ERA, PWD R&B, JMC while the work of pipe laying by PHE Department is at a slow pace.
He warned the State Government that if the black topping was not started, then they will be compelled to launch Jan Andolan.
Dimple urged to start the construction of flyovers at Rehari Chungi, Jewel Chowk as also four way circular road from Ambphalla to Bantalab via Manda, High Court Janipur and Roop Nagar.
Dimple demanded for the CBI inquiry of the funds allotted to ERA and PWD (R&B) for the black topping of the Jammu city roads.
He further demanded for free drinking water to the people of the State. He also demanded to stop installing water meters on the water connections and start for work on the Chenab water supply scheme.
