Dimple protests against PHE, PDD, ERA

JAMMU, Aug 13: Activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement, today held a protest demonstration against no supply of water in Jammu West areas for the last several days.
Led by Sunil Dimple, the protesters raised slogans against PHE, ERA and PDD alleging that  the people were suffering because of failures of these departments and agencies. The protest was held at New Plot -Janipur High Court road.
Addressing the protesters,  Sunil Dimple said that the Jammu West  Assembly constituencies and other parts of the  Jammu city were  reeling under acute scarcity of drinking water. No drinking water has been supplied to the area for the last five days while the PHE authorities are in deep slumber, he added.
Dimple also lashed out at PDD and alleged that people were facing 18 to 20 hours long power cuts in the sweltering summer days. The women, children, old aged person, heart patients are suffering due to power cuts and there is no drinking water for the people, he rued.
Dimple alleged that ERA and  PHE were  deliberately harassing the consumers and damaging the old connections so that they are forced to pay for new connections after paying Rs 3500 to the authorities. He demanded that people  should get the connection shifted to  ERA pipes free of cost.
ERA has damaged  all the water supply connections of the people  and  without giving them new connections, road has been black topped with the result that residents of  New Plot-Janipur High Court road are not being supplied drinking water for one month, he explained.
The protest demonstration was joined by  Sham Saroop, Ram Parkash, Ravi Singh, Surinder Bhalaa, Manjiet Anand, Sat Pal Kohli, Chaman Pawar, Ramesh Mahjan, Arjun Kumar Mohnan Lal Sharma, Ajay Mehta, Shiv Kumar, Rajesh Talla,  Ashok Sharma, Sachin Soi, PC Rajinder Sharma, Anil Abrol, Sat Kumar, Kulwant Sharma Anmol and  others.
