Any sort of slackness in the vaccination drive across the UT of Jammu and Kashmir due to whatever reasons is fraught with consequences of various hues which looking to the full fury of second wave of COVID- 19 pandemic, needs to be avoided at all costs. Whether there is a mismatch between the required number of doses and the availability thereof or fewer people only coming forward for getting vaccinated were equally not conducive and favourable in fighting the pandemic which is otherwise “trying hard ” to be invincible. A continuous drop in the weekly vaccination doses in a few districts in the UT with a decrease even up to 50 percent at many places , however, for a few days during the last week, has started improving again which should be on a consistent pattern. People not coming forward due to whatever reasons must be avoided, instead in the spirit of fighting the challenge of COVID, we must help each other especially in motivating those in the eligible age group to go in for the vaccination and in fact must extend help of whatever nature in the matter to them. However, the daily number picking up now is a matter of satisfaction.
