JAMMU, Feb 22: All Jammu and Kashmir Diploma Engineers’ Association in its meeting held under the chairmanship of its president R S Jasrotia called for greater unity amongst the cadre to thwart sinister designs of some self-seekers, who were out to question the promotion of JEs and ASEs of the cadre.
Addressing the meeting R S Jasrotia said promotion of 19 JEs and 22 AEs of JEs cadre was in process since long and was cleared by the Minister concerned on merits and no favouritism was done as claimed by some self-styled self-seekers. He called for maintaining unity among all junior and senior engineers.
While appreciating the promotion of JEs and AEs, Jasrotia also demanded release of pending quota of diploma engineers in promotions from AE to AEE and AEE to Executive Engineers.
Association secretary R S Soodan clarified that promotion of 39 JEs was under process but due to non-production of APRs and Vigilance clearance of 20 JEs the promotion order of only 19 JEs was issued by the Government, as despite repeated requests from the association 20 JEs failed to produce bio-data for Vigilance Clearance and APRs.
