Diploma Engineers Association holds meet

JAMMU, Feb 10: All J&K Diploma Engineers Association, Jammu held a meeting at Gladni Narwal under the chairmanship of its president Upinder Singh to discuss the issues arising out of unbundling of the Power Development Department.
A large numbers of diploma engineers form different wings participated in the meeting. The members expressed their resentment for keeping the association in dark with regard to the unbundling as Diploma Engineer Cadre has not been consulted in the matter.
They expressed their apprehension over the job security, salary emoluments and working condition while unbundling of the department.
While addressing the meeting, Upinder Singh assured the PDD colleagues of full co-operation of the diploma engineer cadre and warned the administration of any kind of anti-cadre decision in this regard.
He demanded an immediate meeting with the Principal Secretary of the PDD so that the association can express its view point over the issue.
President of the PDD Jai Pal Sharma while addressing the meeting demanded blue-print of the unbundling and asked the cadre from the rank of Junior Engineer to Executive Engineer to be united to fight for their service rights.
Among others present were Anil Gupta, Naresh Sawhney, Rakesh Goswami, Chander Sheikher, Vijay Sharma, Sanjay Koul, PK Sethi, Vinay Sharma, Vimal Kupta, KK Sharma and Ram Lal.
