KATHUA, Sept 28: Director ISM Dr Mohan Singh conducted two-day extensive tour of AYUSH Health and Wellness Centres as well as other institutions in Kathua district and inspected the ongoing repair and renovation works.
Accompanied by ADMO Kathua Dr Vikram Singh Jamwal during his tour, the Director ISM inspected the ongoing repair and renovation work in the Health and Wellness Centres, heard grievances of the public, checked the official record including OPD register, Dead Stock register, stock register of medicines, attendance etc.
He took note of availability of electricity and water supply, separate male and female toilets, yoga shed/hall, diagnostic facilities, installation of IT equipments and cleanliness in and around the institutions and issued suitable instructions on the spot. He enquired about Panchkarma and Ksharsutra procedures being carried out in the institutions and sought their compliance from visiting patients.
Dr Singh inspected the Herbal gardens in the AYUSH Health and Wellness Centres and directed the doctors to orient public about identification as well as the use and value of spices in kitchen and herbs occurring in the locality. He also visited Government Ayurvedic Dispensary Lowang, Government Ayurvedic Dispensary Nagrota, Government Ayurvedic Dispensary Mara Patti, AYUSH unit Basohli and several other AYUSH units
He also visited the under construction 50 bedded AYUSH Hospital at Mandli (Billawar) and inspected the ongoing work at estimated cost of Rs 781 lakhs. He directed the authorities to complete the accomplishment within the meant time frame.
Director ISM also inaugurated a two-day camp at Sarthal (Bani) during which immune boosting AYUSH medicines were distributed among the people.
