RAJOURI, Nov 16: Director Rural Sanitation, Jammu and Kashmir, Charandeep Singh, today visited various areas of Block Sunderbani in Rajouri district as part of Government’s flagship public outreach programme aimed at connecting with the rural populace and took feedback on Governance issues.
A statement said that the Director Rural Sanitation J&K visited the designated Panchayat Upper Bhajwal-A, interacted with the PRIs, frontline workers of all the departments and public at Panchayat Ghar building Bhajwal-A.
The interaction programme was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sunderbani, Tehsildar Sunderbani, Assistant Engineer Jal Shakti Department, and other officials.
After the interaction session, the Director visited the Amrit Sarovar at Larya and took stock of developmental and other issues of public importance.
During the inspection of Amrit Sarovar, the officer also visits “eagle point” a local tourist spot nearby Amrit Sarovar and inspected the ongoing construction of a Tourist Hut by Forest Department.
He also inspected the developmental works carried out by the Rural Development Department (RDD) at OP Morh and Mata Mandir Laman.
At Laman and Kund, the Director visited to vegetable bowls and interacted with vegetables growing farmers of the area. During the visit to agricultural bowl, he also inspected soakage pits and interacted with public about the use of individual and community soakage pits.
During the 2nd days visit, the officer inspected Government Middle School Kund where a sports activity was also organized in presence of visiting officer.
Later, he visited Anganwadi Centre at Kund and interacted with Anganwadi workers and other staff of Social Welfare Department (ICDS).
Followed by this, he proceeded to Community Hall, near Shiv Mandir Lamman to attend Gram Sabha where he interacted with the common masses of the Panchayat and redressed the grievances and complaints of public. He also visited various other facilities during his tour.
