Director Colleges to conduct enquiry against Nutan

JAMMU, Aug 11: General Administration Department today informed the State High Court that Director Colleges has been appointed as Inquiry Officer to conduct probe against Prof Nutan Kumar Resutra, the then Principal Government Degree College Rajouri and presently Nodal Principal GGM Science College Jammu.
Senior Additional Advocate General, Gagan Basotra, while appearing for the State in a PIL titled Sheikh Mohd Shafi Versus Union of India and Others, informed the High Court that Special Secretary to Government, General Administration Department has conveyed that the case of payment of excessive rate in purchase and installation of Wi-Fi by the then Principal of Government Degree College Rajouri, Prof Nutan Kumar Resutra, was earlier referred to the Commissioner of Inquiries for the probe.
“The Commissioner of Inquiries had to submit report within two weeks but the report has yet not been received as such Government has withdrawn the case from the Commissioner of Inquiries and Director Colleges has been appointed as Inquiry Officer”, he informed the court.
About the direction regarding Prof Hemla Aggarwal, Principal Government Degree College Parade, he said that Vigilance Organization has been requested to file a challan in the court of law after sanction from General Administration Department in case Prof Hemla Aggarwal had been found guilty of the criminal involvement in the case pertaining to purchases in violation of codal formalities during her posting as Principal Commerce College.
“The High Education Department has further requested the Vigilance Organization to provide statement of imputations, article of charges and gist of evidence in case no criminality is involved”, he said quoting the information furnished by Special Secretary GAD.
