JAMMU, Nov 6: On the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, the Director School Education Jammu, Tushar Kanti Sharma, today conducted surprise inspection of Middle School Channi Himmat, HSS Channi Himmat, GHS Channi Rama, HSS Bahufort and HS Qasim Nagar.
During the inspection, Headmaster of Middle School Channi Himmat was found absent from duty following which the Director asked Chief Education Officer Jammu to call explanation of the erring Headmaster.
The Director also took a serious note of poor maintenance of records pertaining to Mid Day Meal Scheme in MS Channi Himmat, GHS Channi Rama, HSS Bahufort and the proper storage of rice issued under Mid Day Meal Scheme.
In HS Qasim Nagar, the Incharge Headmaster was instructed to take up the matter pertaining to the unhygienic surrounding because of overflowing Nallah with the Municipal authorities and ensure a proper hygienic environment in and around the school.
The Principals of HSS Bahufort and HSS Channi Himmat were directed to immediate indexing and coding of all the library books. The Principal HSS Bahufort was also directed to ensure that the computer lab is immediately made functional for the benefit of students.
Besides, the director also instructed heads of all institutions to maintain upto date leave accounts of the employees on daily basis and ensure proper attendance records of their institutions.
