Director FCS&CA leads market checking ahead of Eid

Srinagar July 19: A team of officials headed by Director FCS&CA Dr Abdul Salam Mir conducted the market checking in district Srinagar in view of Eid ul Azha.
During the market check, the team inspected the rates of sacrificial animals and also various food establishments including chicken, mutton, fruit and vegetable shops.
In a hand-out issued, the FCS&CA said that the team sealed 4 establishments, filed 1 FIR and recovered a fine of Rs 14,200/- from the erring shopkeepers.
The rotten fruits and vegetables were also destroyed on spot in presence of the public, FCS&CA said.
On the occasion, the Assistant Director Enforcement Kashmir and Assistant Director Srinagar North was accompanying the Director during the inspection of various establishments.
The team interacted with the people on the spot and were advised not to pay more money than the fixed price by the Government.
The black marketers as well as hoarders have been asked to refrain from resorting to violations.
