UDHAMPUR, Nov 1: Director Horticulture escaped unhurt, when the Bolero car, he was traveling collided with a truck near Samroli area in tehsil Chenani.
Police spokesman said that, Director Horticulture, Department Planning and Marketing, Abdul Rehman Natno was on his way from Doda to Jammu in his Bolero car bearing registration number JK02AH-6923.
The said car collided with a truck bearing registration number JK08A-2592, near Samroli, spokesman said, adding that Director Horticulture had a narrow escape.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered and manhunt was launched to arrest the truck driver, who fled from the spot, leaving behind the vehicle.
Meanwhile, two persons were injured, when oil tanker bearing registration number JK02J-6731 collided head on with a truck bearing registration number JK02E-6725 at Bali Nallah.
The injured identified as Gopal, son of Satya Ram and Vijay Kumar, son of Dev, both residents of Sagot, tehsil Chenani, were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur, where their condition was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
Police has registered a case and investigation started.
