SRINAGAR, Feb 21: The Director of National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) interacted with the students of Chinar Nau Jawan Club in Baramulla today.
An Army spokesman said that Chinar Nau Jawan Club, Baramulla has been providing skill oriented training in six different domains that include Computer Hardware and Basic Computers and these two domains have been made operational by Army in collaboration with National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT).
“NIELIT is an autonomous scientific society under the administrative control of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India which was set up to carry out Human Resource Development and related activities in the area of Information, Electronics and Communication Technology(IECT). NIELIT is engaged in the area of IECT besides development of Industry Oriented Quality Education and training programs. It is also one of the National Examination bodies, which accredits Institutes/Organisation for conducting courses in IT sector,” he said.
“DS Oberoi, Director, NIELIT visited Chinar Nau Jawan Club, Baramulla on Tuesday and witnessed the computer labs and training being imparted to the students. He also interacted with the students of Computer Hardware and Basic Computer domain and asked them about their aspirations. He motivated them to work hard and keep themselves abreast with the changes taking place in the field of technology and also emphasised upon the necessity of computer knowledge in everyday life,” he added.
