JAMMU, July 3: Director Accounts and Treasuries Jammu Iftikhar Hussain Chauhan paid surprise visit to Saddar, Gandhi Nagar, Talab Tillo and New Plot treasuries to check the status with regard to installation of biometric attendance in these treasuries.
Chauhan laid special emphasis on the strict implementation of biometric attendance system and directed the Treasury Officers to adhere to the various orders and circulars issued by the higher authorities.
He also impressed upon the Treasury Officers to ensure punctuality in the office and for this effective implementation attendance of all the staff members should be marked through biometric system and any officer/official found absent during the office working hours, stern action as warranted under rules should be taken against him/her for dereliction of duties as lamented.
He also took snap check of bills and claims presented in the treasury and directed all the Treasury Officers to clear the liabilities, bills and claims for payment on first come first serve basis and no deviation on this school shall be tolerated.
He also interacted with the senior citizens and other officials visiting the treasuries in connection with official work.
Director instructed the staff members to extend all possible assistance to the senior citizens wherever required.
