JAMMU, May 31: Director, Social Welfare Jammu Dr Bharat Bhushan today reviewed the implementation of various social welfare schemes.
He took review in a meeting in which all the District Social Welfare officers of the Jammu Province participated. He enquired about the physical and financial achievements registered under various schemes which are being implemented by the department.
He said that Government has already released fifty percent budgetary allocation for the current financial year and there should not be any problem in the implementation of welfare schemes on the ground. He asked that District Social Welfare officers to immediately coordinate with respective Chief Education Officers so that the Pre-Martic Scholarships are provided to the needy students well in time.
He exhorted the officers to work in a missionary mode so that benefits of the department schemes aimed at uplifitment of weaker sections, old and infirm, differently abled persons and students percolate down to the masses.
Deputy Director (Adminis-tration), Chief Accounts Officer, Senior Law officer, Assistant Director (Administration), Assistant Director (Schemes) and all the District Social Welfare officers of the province were present in the meeting.
