JAMMU, June 29: Director Tourism, Jammu Sushma Chauhan conducted an extensive tour of Jammu–Katra–Reasi-Shivkhori circuit today to review the progress of ongoing developmental works.
The Director inspected the site for implementation of newly sanctioned schemes under Swadesh Darshan at Katra. The site for setting up of Automatic Waste Management Plant under Swadesh Darshan a Centrally Sponsored Scheme for Integrated Development of Themes based Tourism Circuits was earmarked near the Railway Station Katra.
She was apprised that the land identification for the other main components such as Eco Log Cafeteria with local handicraft promotion outlets, Gender based modern toilets, Side development with pavers and Guest sitouts and tourist benches, Creation of Green belt and park with solar irrigation system, and Smart lightening and illumination was carried out in the presence of team of experts from GoI associated with the execution of these mega project under Swadesh Darshan Scheme.
Sushma Chauhan also visited Nau Devian at Katra (wayside amenities en-route Katra Shivkhori Circuit under CSS) and issued instructions to complete the construction of tourist facilities in a time bound manner in order to facilitate the visiting pilgrims.
At Dera Baba Banda, the director stressed on early completion of ongoing works of TRC.
The Director also visited the historical Bhimgarh Fort at Reasi which is being restored. She issued strict instructions to executing agency to expedite the ongoing restoration works while maintaining the specifications as per the DPR and quality of work.
At Shivkhori, the Director took stock of all the work components under State Task Force, wayside amenities en-route Katra Shiv-Khori Circuit. She also visited Terminal building, Public convenience and Bus Stand at Ransoo.
