JAMMU, Dec 13: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Director Tourism, Jammu, R K Varma with the members of hotel and travel trade fraternity (Jammu province) regarding participation in tourism and travel fairs to be held in the year 2015 at various places across the country.
The main aim of the meeting was to have direct interaction of the members of Hotel and Travel Trade Association with the organizers of travel trade fairs, so that they can directly book their stalls for promotion of tourism in the State.
Joint Managing Director, TTF, G Ibrahim interacted with the travel trade fraternity and offered discount upto 60 percent for booking of space through J&K Hotel and Travel Trade Association in TTF, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai to be organized in the months of January and February , 2015.
Director Tourism conveyed that the main aim of Tourism Department is to facilitate the agencies, so that it becomes convenient for Hotel and Travel trade associations of Jammu to book their stalls at discount directly from the organizer. It was also decided to have all the stalls of participants from state under one banner i.e J&K Tourism.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Tourism, Dr Nirupa Rai, Deputy Director Tourism (Pub), Kewal Krishan, besides, Chairman, Paryatan Vikas Mandal, Ravi Mahanjan, President, All Hotel and Lodges Association, Inderjeet Khajuria, Capt. Anil Gaur, IATO, J&K Chapter, Founder Chairman, Tourism Promotion Council, Chairman, Travel Trade Association Bhaderwah and President Jammu Association of Tour Operator.
