JAMMU, Feb 29: Financial Commissioner Planning and Development Department, B.B Vyas today directed Commi-ssioner Relief and Rehabili-tation to ensure that cash assistance for Kashmiri migrants under relief category is disbursed before the festival of Mahashivratri.
Mr Vyas was speaking during a meeting convened to review the arrangements put in place by the concerned departments for the ensuing festival.
He directed Secretary CAPD to ensure adequate supply of ration and essentials before March 5 especially in the migrant camps at Jagti, Buta Nagar, Muthi, Nagrota, Purkhoo and in Kashmir valley.
During the meeting, the concerned departments were also directed to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply during the festival days and special arrangements be made for proper sanitation, medicare and other facilities for the convenience of the devotees.
Commissioner Secretary, School Education Department, Commissioner Secretary, Finan-ce Department, Secretary, Relief and Rehabilitation Department, Secretary, Consu-mer Affairs and Public Distribution Department, Relief and Rehabilitation Commiss-ioner (Migrants), Additio-nal Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department attended the meeting.
