JAMMU, Sept 11: A social and political activist from Kalakote Abdul Gani Kohli has demanded immediate dispatch of relief material to Kalakote areas otherwise there is danger of people falling to epidemic.
Kohli visited remote and hilly areas of Kalkote including Balori, Sialkote, Daal, Dongri and Sangdo and took stock of the destruction due to floods and landslides.
He demanded that administration should depute a special team to the areas which have suffered losses and provide immediate relief and financial assistance.
“Hundreds of people have been displaced due to the recent rain fall and there has been devastation in the entire Rajouri district. Government and Indian Army should take immediate measures to provide relief to the affected people”, Kohli said.
