JAMMU, June 29: Agriculture Displaced Employees Welfare Association (ADEWA) observed ADEWA Day at a function today in which rich tributes were paid to those employees who lost their lives due to militancy and those who later became victims of Migration Disease Syndrome (MDS).
The programme was held under the chairmanship of Dr Manoj Nazir Scientist Floriculture. During the programme various issues pertaining to migrant employee s were discussed with special reference to leave encashment. The Association resolved that it will strive hard for settling burning issues.
Others who addressed the function included Pamposh Kaul, former chairman, Bihari Lal vice chairman, Dr Sanjay Wali secretary, Avtar Krishan, treasurer, Surinder Kaul, Surinder Fotedar etc.
The proceedings were conducted by Rajinder Tickoo, general secretary ADEWA.
