Displaced Pandits delegation calls on Relief Commissioner

JAMMU, Dec 22: A delegation of prominent members of internally displaced people from Valley led by Satish Pajnoo called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner R K Pandita here today and discussed pressing problems with him.
The delegation discussed the medical aid issue with the RRC and demanded that the same be decentralized and dispersed through zones. It demanded that the recommendations be made to Government for establishment of Camp College at Jagti and the infrastructure of erstwhile camp colleges be utilized for the purpose. It said as a large number of displaced people are putting up at Jagti township and they can’t afford to visit Jammu for higher education recommendation be made to government for establishment of camp college at Jagti township.
The delegation also demanded that the youth working on daily wages in Jagti camp for last many years be regularized and their wages of last 10 months be released immediately.
The delegation also demanded that the bifurcation process be streamlined and RBA certificates be issued to migrants.
The other members of delegation included P N Pandita (retd SP), P L Dhar general secretary BJP Migrant district, M K Tickoo, C L Matoo, P N Pandita, a BJP leader, Ashu Dhar, Lokesh Zalpuri, Dulari Kachroo and Dr Ramesh Kumar Bhat.
