JAMMU, Jan 21: A meeting of the Displaced Pensioners Welfare Association of Medical Department was held here today under the chairmanship of P K Koul.
Addressing the meeting P K Peshin appealed the Governor to release the 6 percent DA from July last year without any further delay so that the low paid employees and pensioners can get some relief. He also demanded that Medical Allowance be enhanced to Rs 1000 per month and all the pensioners be paid medical insurance without delay.
R L Sahib, Govri Shanker and S L Fotedar were among others who attended the meeting.
