Displaced people ask PDP to reconsider decision

JAMMU, July 10: Displaced people of Rajpora constituency in a meeting here today held under the chairmanship of Nath Ji Bhat while discussing various problems confronting the Kashmir migrants expressed concern over the power cuts of long duration in Jagti Township.
The meeting, also expressed concern over denial of ticket to two time MLA of the constituency Syed Bashir by the party and made an appeal to PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti to reconsider decision. They said Syed Bashir has always been helpful to the displaced people and highlighted their problems inside or outside the Assembly.
They said denial of ticket to him has hurt the feelings of the people and PDP supporters of Rajpora constituency. They said Syed Bashir is a popular leader in the area and denial of ticket to him will send a wrong signal among the masses.
Those who addressed the meeting included Rattan Lal, Chand Ji, Dwarika Nath, Roshan Lal, T K Bhat, Sham Lal, Brij Nath, Deepak Trisal, Amarnath Tickoo and Brij Nath Hawali.
