Displaced Wing of DPAP for concrete rehabilitation policy of migrants

JAMMU, Aug 4: Kashmir Displaced Wing of Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) has demanded that Government of India as well as U.T. Government must workout a concrete resettlement, rehabilitation policy with all Constitutional admissible packages, with compensations of 34 years property loss in consultation with real sufferers of genocide.
In a joint statement party president, Sanjay Dhar, Piaray Lal Pandita, chairman, Raj Kumar Ticku general secretary and Naveen Gosani youth president said that after recent visit to Valley have conveyed it’s dismay regarding allotment of accommodation to PM package employees as the pace of construction, completion of quarters in Valley for the purpose is very slow, resulting in sufferings to these employees and quarters although allotted to employees at Udina and Baramulla are having many problems which need to be addressed on priority basis.
They appealed to the authorities to complete the construction of these quarters for allotment before setting of Winter.
They appealed to redress the problems of P.M.Package employees viz, Suitable safe zone postings, promotions and for merger of package employees Cadre at par with U.T. Government employees to remove the disparities so that their salaries are brought on U.T. exchequer as they are rendering their services to the public in Valley.
They also appealed for earliest taking over of Water Supply Scheme of Jagti Migrant Camp by Jal Shakti Department as per Government Order No. 381 dated: 21.04.2021 to save the residents from irregular and unhygienic water supply by private contractors and to save the lakhs of Rupees per month of State exchequer.
They demanded enhancement of cash assistance from Rs. 108 per day per soul to Rs. 300 per soul per day and stressed for earliest renovation, repairs of buildings, lanes, by lanes, parks and drains in Jagti and other camps on war footing basis, including repairs and blacktopping of road leading from Jagti to Kandoli besides settling of other burning demands.
