JAMMU, Oct 25: Demanding issuance of the orders for selected candidates under PM’s employment package who have completed all formalities over six months back, Kashmiri Pandit unemployed youth held a protest in front of Relief Commissioner’s office here, today.
The protestors alleged that the PM package of 6000 jobs for displaced people from Kashmir announced way back in 2008 by the then Prime Minister has not been implemented till date that has been a cause of concern for the displaced youth.
They said it is unfortunate that the candidates who filled up their forms under the package last year and who appeared in written test as well as interviews and also completed all formalities are waiting for issuance of selection list and appointment orders for months together.
They said the selection process was stopped by SSB after the transfer of its then chairman, Simrandeep Singh who during six months of his tenure had completed the entire process.
They said that the authorities are misleading the candidates who try to enquire about the selection list and no information is being provided by them to candidates who are in a great distress.
They alleged that the State Government has deliberately mixed the SRO 425 with SRO 412 and tried to create confusion among the migrant youth and delaying the implementation of package.
Accusing the authorities for adopting delaying tactics the migrant youth have made an appeal to Governor, Satya Paul Malik seeking his intervention in the matter and justice for hapless youth.
They said the selected youth are in great distress as after leaving their private jobs outside the State in the hope of serving their motherland they are idle for over a year now and demanded release the final list.
