Disrespecting mandate

Sir,
Our Constitution allows Government formation  if the party in question establishes its majority in the house. Either the party achieves this majority on its own or through pre poll alliance. Occasionally, the majority is also achieved by post poll alliance. This is a strange situation where a post poll allinace is stitched for power.  Democratically they are correct, but ethically they are wrong. The post poll alliance for power by rivals is debatable. The ultimate loser is the voter. The politics of opportunism overrides   the wish of common people. The civil society of the country requires to debate and find ways and means to curb this practice. As  our country cannot afford  frequent elections, politicians should  rise above party politics and introspect to strengthen the democracy. Moral principles should take precedence over greed for power. Has the time arrived to elect the C M and the PM directly through  ballot ?
Yours etc…
