Dissolve JMC: JWAM urges LG

JAMMU, Nov 1: Activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) led by their president, Sunil Dimple here today staged a protest demonstration against Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), PWD and ERA for the bad condition of roads, lanes and drains in the city.
Addressing protesters Dimple claimed that Jammu West Assembly Constituency is the most underdeveloped place in J&K where sanitary conditions are very poor.
He urged upon the Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha to dissolve JMC as its performance is still very poor.
“Heaps of garbage are seen everywhere in New Plot, Sarwal, Rehari, Janipur, Bakshi Nagar, Tallb Tillo and other areas,” Dimple maintained adding, though JMC charges from Rs. 200-500 from every shop and showroom still garbage dumps are seen at every crossing.
He also said that overflowing ERA sewerage potholes have made life of the people miserable.
Poli Devi, Nisha, Mehak, Hikmit Singh, Gurcharan Singh, Vinod Gupta, Sumit Sharma, Sanjay Nagraj, Sonu Kumar, Prem Kumar, Rajinder Singh, Sonu Agarwal and many other were also present in the protest.
