JAMMU, Apr 12: Distribution of ration among the needy families continued on the 19th day of the lockdown.
Chander Parkash Ganga former Minister and Ex-MLA Vijaypur distributed essential commodities and sanitizers among 40 Safai karamcharis of Municipal Committee Bari Brahmana. Among others present were Puran Chand, President MC Bari Brahmana, Ram Ji Dass Sharma Vice President MC Bari Brahmana, Rakesh Nagyal Sanitary Inspector, Jai Ram Sharma, Atresh Dutta BJP Block President Bari Brahmana, Tarsem Singh Charak Sarpanch and Pawan Bakshi.
Bharatiya Janata Party J&K Secretary Arvind Gupta handed over 500 face masks to the J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina in the presence of former Deputy CM Kavinder Gupta and General Secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here. Former MLC Vikram Randhawa, Party Vice-President Yudhvir Sethi, Programme and Abhiyaan Corodinator Ajay Pargal, Jaidev Jajwal, Ishant Mahajan and other party leaders were also present on the occasion.

Members of Sanjeevani-Jan-Kalayan Trust along with Panchayat Members of Upper Mir distributed free home made masks to villagers in Upper Meer Panchayat in Tehsil Pancheri of District Udhampur. President of SJKT Jasvir Singh, Havaldar Khajoor Singh Founder of SJKT, Sandokh Singh and Rakesh Singh volunteers were also present.
Parveen Sangral, Chairperson Muskan Foundation along with the members of her team distributed ration to the needy 70 families in slum huts area of Shiv Nagar, Gudwal and different wards of MC Vijaypur. Municipal Committee President Deepak Kumar was also present on the occasion.
Garden Avenue Welfare Society Talab Tillo Jammu donated 80 PPE kits to medical staff of GMC Jammu. The kits were handed over to Medical Superintendent of GMC Jammu Dr Dara Singh.
Shashi Sharma Secretary Pradesh Congress Committee J&K distributed food to the migrant labourers who are facing hardships during lockdown at Bishnah.
Food packets were provided in Srinagar and adjacent areas of city to truck drivers, non Kashmiri labourers by a businessman turned politician and social activist Mohammed Anwar Khan. Khan also distributed food packets to homeless people at Srinagar and adjacent areas in neighbouring Pulwama and Budgam districts. He also distributed food packets, masks, hand sanitizers and gloves on national highway to truck drivers who were working in the city and were not having food and proper protective gear.
Childline Doda under the supervision of Director Childline Project Officer Zubair Ahmed distributed near about 100 hygienic kits among the children of different areas of the district. The distribution was done by Coordinator Childline alongwith concerned officials Doda and Rural Development Department.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers distributed ration among 150 poor families of Mathola Panchayat of Bhadarwah in presence of working committee member Advocate Manjeet Razdan.
Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu & Kashmir distributed face masks to the Corona Warriors at Bakshi Nagar and Talab Tillo. At Bakshi Nagar, Former Mahila Morcha District President Veena Gupta, J&K BJP Media Secretary Dr Pardeep Mahotra, party Additional Publicity Secretary Ayodhya Gupta, Reema Padha, Yogesh Mahajan and Vicky were present, whereas at Talab Tillo, Ayodhya Gupta was accompanied by Dr Pardeep Mahotra, District Jammu West Vice-President Puneet Mahajan, Veena Gupta and Deepak Kumar. Sahil Gupta, Rajesh Uppal, Sunil Kumar, Vicky, Varun Sharma and Ghanshyam Sharma (Montu) were also present on the occasion.
Hindu Shiv Sena distributed dry ration and other daily needs items among the slum dwellers and poor people living in Chand Nagar area of Jammu city. President HSS Krishan Manhas was also present on the occasion.
J&K Yateem Foundation started door to door distribution of essential items among the needy persons in Bhadarwah and Bhalla tehsils of Doda district. Social organisation including J&K Yateem Foundation, Ababeel, Radul-Bla and ECO Watch Bhadarwah actively participated in this drive. Javed Qazi, Executive member J&K Yateem Foundation, Sajid Sarmadi senior member of the Foundation and many others were present on the occasion.
Dry ration was distributed to 100 families by Shrine Committee Goran Youth For Society and MC Samba at the Municipal Committee Office Samba in presence of Des Raj Sharma Rahul Sambyal and Pawan Kohli Chairman MC Samba.
RSS Swayam Sevaks distributed relief material in the areas of Purani Mandi, Raghunath Pura, Peer Mitha, Residency Road, Narwal and Bawe. RSS Mahanagar Sanghalak Surinder Mohan Gupta was also present.
Free ration kits and masks were distributed at Neeli and Bhaderwah in presence of Ex MLA Bhaderwah Dileep Parihar. Mandal Pardhan Maatam Singh, Mandal Pardhan Yudhveer and District Vice President Sanjay actively took part in the distribution along with their respective teams. At Doda and Ghat, Mandal Pardhan Suresh and Mandal Pardhan Manjeet distributed free ration to around 54 BPL families, while 1200 masks were also distributed by the respective members. At Marmat, Raj Kumar, Block Development Council Chairman donated around 1000 masks out of his own contributions.
