JAMMU, May 9: Distrib-ution of ration and essential items continued here today.
Former Member Legislative Council (MLC) Vikram Randhawa distributed ration kits and masks among the people at various places of Gandhi Nagar assembly segment which includes Shanti Nagar, GTB Nagar, Model Town, Peer Baba Mohalla, Govindpura and other areas. Those present on the occasion include Bharat Bhushan Mandal President, Jyoti Parkash, Harpal Singh, Kulwant Singh, Kashmira Singh, Dalbir Singh, Sanjeev Gupta, Sanjay Gupta, Ashu Gupta, Kuldeep Pinta, Jatinder Lucky, Hans Raj and Shashi Pal.
Inner Wheel Jammu Tawi distributed ration and need based items to 82 families of migrant labour living in Sector 1 and 3 in Trikuta Nagar. President Pooja Malhotra alongwith her team were present on the occasion.
Gandhi Global Family J&K distributed dry ration and fresh vegetables among 30 needy local families identified by J&K Police at Mohalla Mehra, Top Sherkhani in Jammu. The relief material was distributed among needy families in presence of GGF President J&K Padmashri Dr S P Varma, Duty Magistrate Rajesh Bali and Incharge Police Post Sarwal, SI Vishav Partap Singh. Er KK Mattoo GGF Advisor and Former Chief Engineer PWD J&K Government, Mohd Aslam Malik Ex SP J&K Police and GGF Advisor Jammu, Dr Prem Sharma GGF Advisor Jammu, Jaswinder Singh Kuku GGF Advisor Jammu City, RS Baloria, Zia, Rama Kumari, Amit Varma, Ragav Changotra and Ankush Varma distributed the relief material.
Dry ration was distributed to some poor families and the labourer of other states residing at Sarore by Vivekananda High School Sarore. Ration was given by Chairman of School Tilak Raj Sharma, Ashok Charak, Nagarmal and Abhinandan Sharma.
Jammu team of “We The Human Forum for Nature and Mankind” distributed free ration kits among twenty distressed families in Rajpura Jammu. Ajab Singh, Sukhdev Singh Executive Members and AK Verma Organising Secretary of the Trust were present on the occasion.
Rajinder Sharma, BJP leader and Chairman House Committee for Framing Building Schemes and Plan for Jammu City, JMC along with Atul Sharma from BJYM, Rakesh Kumar, Ward President and Binnu Booth President distributed dry ration to 710 families of Ward Number 16. Rajinder Sharma also distributed dry ration to 103 migrant families of different States. He has also made a facility of free medicines to BPL families.
Local branch of Vivekananda Kendra Kanaya Kumari distributed goods among the COVID 19 saviours of the Jammu Municipal Corporation at Vikas Lane Ward Number 30 and near Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar Ward Number 31. Shiva Sikarwar, Pooran Kalin of Vivekananda Kendra, Gian Chand Sanotra a senior social activist and many others were present on the occasion.
