JAMMU, May 12: Distribution of ration and essential items among the needy persons continued here today.
Senior Congress leader Varun Magotra distributed ration and other essential food items among the needy people of Fattu Chugan and Purani Mandi. Vice President DCC Madan Lal Malagar, Block President Congress Anand Gandotra, Block President Mahila Congress Anju Devi, leader Mahila Congress Pushpa Gupta, Ashok Kumar and many others were present on the occasion.
RSS Swayamsevaks distributed 500 bags of dry ration kits and other essential items among people in Trikuta Nagar, Anand Nagar Bohri, Shastri Nagar, Nanak Nagar and Ekta Vihar (Ratnu Chak) areas. Swayamsevaks are also feeding people from its community kitchen at Nai Basti.
Free ration and face cover were distributed among poor people in Sector 1 of Channi Himmat in Ward Number 50. Vinay Gupta District President BJP, Ankush Gupta District General Secretary BJP, Neeraj Puri Corporator Trikuta Nagar, Neena Gupta Corporator Ward Number 50, Balwan Singh, Poonam Gupta, Trishula Mahajan, Kamlesh Magotra, Mohit Sharma and Tehsildar Bahu Rohit were also present.
‘The-Sara’ team led by its Director Dr Raminder Jit Singh distributed essential food items among daily wagers in Sikhligar Basti Chatha, Chowadhi and Malik Market Jammu.
