JAMMU, Apr 13: Distribution of ration and essential items continued on the 20th day of the lockdown.

Earlier, the society also distributed the ration items in Looran, Loi-Bail, Rajpura, Bedar, Sawjian, Palhera and Dhara areas of District Poonch. The volunteers of the organization who distributed the ration were Tariq Mirza, General Secretary, Avinash Gupta, Shivani Mujoo and Imtiyaz Lone.

Akhil Bhartiya Dharam Prachar Sewa Samiti (ABDPSS) distributed ration among the needy families of Jammu. Sunil Sharma National Organizer of the Samiti alongwith other members distributed ration to the needy people in slum areas of Jammu.
KC Group stands along with “We Care Campaign” by J&K Police for the individuals and families by providing essentials with a motto of feeding maximum people in J&K with the help of Jammu Flour Mill by KC Group. KC group also appeals to other business houses to come forth and unitedly feed the families in the need of hour.
Indian Red Cross Society distributed 320 food packets of dry ration among the needy families of Bhagwati Nagar, NITCO lane and Vikas Lane of District Jammu. IRCS also distributed dry ration among 225 needy persons at Janipur, Exchange Road, Dogra Hall and Gandhi Nagar areas.
Besides distributing dry ration among needy families in various parts of Jammu, Team Jammu provided hand sanitizers for public use at Samba. The Team Jammu members of Samba unit led by Chairman Zorawar Singh Jamwal along with Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Samba, Faisal Qureshi installed hand sanitizers at public places, including Sabzi Mandi, Samba near banks, ATMs etc. This hand sanitizer has been prepared by Team Jammu members for distributing the same for public purpose. Among other members of Team Jammu Samba unit who jointly preparing hand sanitizers included Vikesh Amba, Anupam Sambyal, Mohniesh Abrol, Rahul Sambyal, Aman Gupta, Ashok Thappa and Anil Mankotia.
Socio-Welfare International Society is distributing ration among the poor sections of society. The organization under the chairmanship of Pradeep Pandita has adopted 47 families at Paloura and more than 30 families in Chinore area of Jammu. The volunteers Sunil Pandit, Vineet Pandit, Ariya Dhar, Jolly and Meenakshi Pandita are on the forefront fighting pandemic and hunger.
Free ration is being distributed among the needy persons by Tazeem Dar, Arif Rishi and Umar Malik in different areas of the district Rajouri. Till today, 700 families were fed by these persons. However, mother of Tazeem Dar Shameem Akhter has donated Rs 3.50 lakh to District Administration Rajouri for purchase of ventilators.
Team of Set India distributed food items to 53 families in Rajpura Magotrain area of Jammu. Set India also distributed masks at police checking points near AG Office, Gurha Morh, Shakti Nagar Chowk, Canal Head and other points. Masks were made by volunteer Jawahar and his family. Rajesh Sharma Founder Trustee was also present on the occasion.
Bishop of Samarpan Church Megani Udhampur distributed dry rations along with face mask to needy families in 2 villages.
Team of Police Station Kanachack provided cooked food at the door step of labourers at Ghura Singhu, Bawe Talab and Lalyal Camp. SHO Kanachack Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar and SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul under the supervision of SP Rural Suram Singh carried out this work.
