UDHAMPUR, Oct 5: Under the initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development Govt of India, School Education Department Udhampur organized a District Level Kala Utsav 2019 in Common Public Higher Secondary School, here.
Students from various Zones of the district participated in the event.
The programme began with lighting of the traditional lamp by the chief guest, S. Daljeet Singh, Chief Education Officer Udhampur.
The competition was organized in four categories viz; Solo Singing, Solo Dance, Instrumental Music and Painting.
The students adjudged as best male & female were awarded in each category. In the event, Mohinder Kumar (GMHSS Boys-Udhampur) and Arti Devi (GHSS-Barmeen), Khushi (GHS-Kawa) and Romy Kumar (GHSS-Rasli Gadheren), Rakesh Kumar (GHSS-Rasli Gadheren) and Radhika (GGHS-Ramnagar), Sahil Thakur (Happy Model Hr.Sec.School) and Sakshi Devi (GHSS-Chenani) were declared winner in Solo Dance, Solo Singing, Instrumental and Painting respectively. The winners will participate at Inter District Level Competition to be held at Jammu.
Chief Education Officer, S. Daljeet Singh appreciated the students and teachers for their efforts while addressing on the occasion and blessed the students for their success.
The adjudicators of the event were S. Harvinder Singh, Harish Kumar, Arun Sufi, Munish Kumar and Jawahar Khajuria.
Finally, Suman Sneh, Principal Common Public HSS presented the vote of thanks. The programme was Co-ordinated by Saguna Khajuria of District Cultural Cell, Udhampur.
