District Police Reasi pays tribute to Martyr Kamal Kishore

REASI, Oct 27: District Police Reasi in remembrance of martyrs organised a function at Police Lines Reasi wherein a short-movie clip was shown to Police/ CRPF officers and jawans.
The short movie clip included  life events of SGC Kamal Kishore who was posthumously awarded Shaurya Chakra for his valour and courage. The martyr hailed from Gran Morh village of Reasi. He attained martyrdom while fighting with terrorists in Srinagar in 2018, before eliminating two deadly terrorists in an encounter.
The short movie showed the supreme sacrifice of Martyr in protecting the sovereignty and integrity of the country.
SGC Kamal Kishore was born to Mohan Lal and Geeta Devi at Gran Morh village of Reasi on April Ist, 1988. He got his Primary education from Government Middle School Gran Morh Reasi and upper school studies from Govt Higher Scondary School, Reasi.
Kamal Kishore joined J&K Police in 2009 and was posted in IR 10th Bn. He voluntarily joined operational group of J&K Police in Cargo, Srinagar in 2011. For his extra ordinary operational performance he got ‘out of turn’ promotion to SGC. He attained Martyrdom while fighting against terrorists in an encounter in Fateh Kadal Srinagar. He fought bravely and killed two terrorists in the operation. He got injured and attained martyrdom. For his valour and bravery he was conferred Shaurya Chakra Posthumously. Mohan Lal, father of the Martyr received the award from the President of India on November 22, 2021 in an investiture ceremony at Rashtrpati Bhawan New Delhi.
While speaking on the occasion SSP Reasi Amit Gupta highlighted the bravery and valour of the Martyr Kamal Kishore. He said the purpose of the short movie is to highlight the sacrifices of Martyr and pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives in restoring normalcy and peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
