SAMBA, Nov 30: The Jal Shakti (PHE) Division Samba has commenced an extensive water quality monitoring program under the Jal Jeevan Mission’s Water Quality Monitoring System to ensure supply of safe drinking water to all households.
Water sample collection has been initiated in Chak Salarian, Chak Bagla, and Gho Brahmana. The samples are being collected from various water sources, Schools, Anganwadi centers, Domestic households among others to ensure widespread testing.
The district’s chemists from District and Sub-Divisional laboratories, in collaboration with the District Programme Management Unit (DPMU) Samba team, are conducting Chemical analysis, Bacteriological tests with special focus on Nitrate levels in drinking water.
“The well-being of our citizens is paramount,” said -Hukum Singh, Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti. “This initiative underscores our commitment to providing safe, potable drinking water to every household in Samba.”
